Intro: Meet Courtney. Chef, owner of Delish NC, and one of Taste Carolina's long-standing food tour guides. This girl does food. Courtney made her way to Wilmington from New York City as a textile designer, but it did not take long for another passion to take hold. What started as just a love for cooking quickly turned into a career in the restaurant world. Courtney then spent a decade working as a chef in a seafood-focused downtown kitchen. These days, Courtney is the owner of Delish NC, her personal-chef business, where she creates customized in-home dining experiences, teaches cooking classes, and brings restaurant quality meals straight to her clients’ tables. From making fresh pastas, to creating perfect ramen bowls, to filleting a whole fish, she does it all - and always with North Carolina products, including local seafood, at the center of the plate. Courtney leads tours in Wilmington, and her deep roots in the local food scene really shine through. For her, leading tours is about supporting fellow chefs, celebrating small businesses, and giving guests a true taste of Wilmington’s tight knit food community. When she is not cooking, teaching, or out on tour, Courtney is spending time with her son, exploring new restaurants across the country, and documenting her latest food finds.
